SomaLogic Operating Co., Inc. (“SomaLogic” or “Grantor”) is pleased to announce its 2026 European Research Grant Award for researchers in Europe. This grant offers an opportunity to expand your research through high-plex protein profiling to support exploratory and pilot-scale studies.
Two recipients will be awarded SomaScan™ 11K Assay analysis of forty (40) human plasma or serum samples, enabling measurement of 11,000 protein measurements per sample.

Awardees will receive:
- Free SomaScan 11K Assay analysis for 40 human plasma or serum samples (hereafter referred to as “samples”)
- A dedicated project team that provides technical support and bioinformatics guidance
- Included data analysis (standard bioinformatics tier)

Eligibility criteria
- The grant is only open to researchers who are based in Europe and the greater EMEA region, at an institution or group where they perform the research.
- Submissions must be in English and meet the criteria outlined on the grant page.
- Research teams that already use the SomaScan Assay are not eligible to apply.
- Samples must be available and ready to ship by September 28, 2026.
- Samples submitted for the SomaScan Assay must be collected based on the criteria described in the Handling and Processing Guide.
- Greater consideration will be given to pilot studies that are creative, bring new insight to health and disease, and have potential to lead to longer-term studies.
- Only one application per person is allowed.

Research grant conditions
- A total of two applicants will be selected under this grant program. Both awardees will receive support to validate sample type, discuss assay limitations, coordinate sample preparation and shipping, and discuss downstream bioinformatics support, as applicable. Grant awardees will own the assay data generated under this grant program.
- Shipment of samples must be at the awardee’s expense via suitable cold chain courier with dry ice top-up, and preferably tracking.
- Sample submissions and associated documentation must not include any personally identifiable or protected health information. Awardee agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations governing their grant submission and, if awarded, their sample shipments.
- Samples will be processed on the SomaScan 11K Assay by Citogen, an authorized site based in Spain.
- Successful applicants consent to the use of their name, institution, project title and image for promotional purposes associated with this grant.
- Awardees will be announced by email and on SomaLogic social channels (LinkedIn, X, Facebook).
- Awardees consent to their research being featured in SomaLogic marketing activities.
- The grant is for research purposes only and is not to be used for commercial, diagnostic, or clinical purposes.
