Boulder, Colo., USA – Today SomaLogic, Inc. announced an enhanced collaboration with NEC Solution Innovators, Ltd. of Japan, a subsidiary of NEC Corporation, that builds on the companies’ ten-year partnership by bringing new clinical tests based on SomaLogic’s proprietary protein-measurement technology to the Japanese population. Specific terms of the agreement were not revealed.
“At the time of our first agreement in 2010, we stated our belief that ‘both companies can leverage their unique experiences and integrate them to provide for better healthcare, and thus enhance people’s lives,’ ” said Kiyoshi Sugiyama, President of NEC Solution Innovators. “We are now seeing the realization of that goal in the US, and — very soon — in Japan.”
“From the beginning of our relationship, NEC has been a valuable contributor to our thinking and research into the best way to develop useful and meaningful clinical tests that can meet the needs of global health,” said Roy Smythe, MD, CEO of SomaLogic. “It is exciting and gratifying to see those years of work come to fruition in the chance to help people across Japan lead healthier and more productive lives.”
Further information, and the official launch date and specific tests to be provided, will be announced by NEC Solution Innovators later in 2020.
